Volunteers of America Greater New Orleans Receives Donation for Suicide Prevention in St. Tammany Parish

On Monday, April 24, 2017, Sgt. Trinity Graves, on behalf of the St. Tammany Deputy Sheriff’s Association, presented Volunteers of America Greater New Orleans with a donation of $1,850, which will help the organization provide lifesaving crisis response services across the Parish, including counseling to victims of attempted suicide, as well as to the families of those who have committed suicide. The money was raised at the third annual St. Tammany Parish Suicide Awareness Golf Tournament at Royal Golf Club in Slidell on March 25, 2017. The event also benefitted St. Tammany Outreach for the Prevention of Suicide (S.T.O.P.S.).
