Helping Children Cope With Trauma

The We C.A.N. (We Care. We Advocate. We Nurture) program is designed to increase access to effective trauma-focused treatment and services for children and adolescents ages 6-18 years and their families. These families experience traumatic events specifically from exposure to violent crimes, domestic violence or substance abuse, and parental incarceration. People served in the We C.A.N. program are children of active military service personnel or veterans, are children receiving services from child welfare and protective services, or in the juvenile justice system.
