The Stepping Stones program focuses on improving care and treatment coordination that is focused on Black/African American Women with HIV.

This program runs in conjunction with 12 other sites across the nation and is involved in a Cross-Site Evaluation to determine better and better practices and methods to improve healthcare and treatment coordination for Black/African American Women living with HIV. This program will serve 115 Black/African American Women living with HIV over 3 years.

Activities Include:

Health Navigation
Educational Sessions through the Enhanced Patient Navigation – Women of Color intervention
Small group educational sessions, emphasizing gender pride and informing women how to identify and maintain supportive people and their social networks.
Peer Support-Access to an individual who has lived experience with an HIV diagnosis
Support Groups
Improving Health Literacy
