If you are a senior aged 55 and older and live in St. Tammany Parish, you can give back to your community through our Retired Senior Volunteer Program. This program matches seniors with agencies in the community in need of volunteers.

Serving Children

  • Tutor & Mentor Children
  • Serve as a child’s advocate in the court system

Serving Seniors

  • Transport Seniors to Doctor, Grocery and Pharmacy
  • Visit, call Bingo and play games with the residents of local nursing homes and assisted living facilities
  • Help put on workshops that address important issues facing seniors
  • Give presentations on Medicare Fraud

Community Opportunities

  • Help box food for families in our parish
  • Greet visitors, provide information and answer phones at local wildlife refuge visitor center
  • Help package items for our troops overseas
  • Help prep donations by sorting, pricing and displaying items
  • Serve in local hospitals
  • Assist with horses used for physical therapy
  • Tutor adults to obtain high school diploma
